This is an exciting opportunity to learn  techniques from two amazing artists that brought their skills together and created...magic!

Marcia: "The Bohemian Collection was designed to use magnets captured within seed beaded magnet casings to create a body of work that is interchangeable. Included are ropes, decorative connectors, functional connectors, focal connectors and pendants which make this a truly versatile collection which can be expanded continuously. For each of the types of elements presented there will be suggestions for changing the element by count, size or type of bead to create something which is uniquely yours. While the majority of work is done in Cubic or Prismatic right angle weave, I’ve included a Romantica component that can be changed up to be 3 or 4 sided and will bring a touch of whimsy or elegance to the work depending on color and type of bead choices.  (A note from Beads by Blanche:  Yes, everyone!  These are the very components that Marcia taught on the cruise!  If you missed it and were so sad you wouldn't have the opportunity to make these wonderful components, now is your chance!!!)

I’ve collaborated with Tracy Stanley to include her fabulous etched pendants.  With the addition of a special magnet casing the etched pendants you create, these can be used as bottom pendants or focal pieces with additional seed beaded components combined to create many different options."

Tracey:  "Etching with harsh chemicals has never been my thing….although I loved the results, the toxic chemicals, clean up and disposal…yuck! But then I was introduced to etching with salt water and I said….I’M IN!! I think you will agree with me there is no reason to do it another way! Learn a variety of techniques to create amazing etched metal and believe it or not, you don’t need any prior metal experience!

After creating these etched pieces, you will learn embellish them with a bead soup of assorted seed beads, crystals, drops and buttons…what ever your heart desires. You will make these beautiful one of a kind pieces that will make a fabulous addition to the amazing beaded pieces by Marcia DeCoster.

I am so looking forward to exploring these wonderful techniques with you….see you in November!"

We can't wait!!!
