I love the patterns and colors found in the Turkish kilims. Each region of Anatolia has different symbols representing any things such as fertility, marriage, the evil eye, etc. The Kilim Beads workshop is inspired by the patterns and colors found in these beautiful rugs. Using a variation of peyote stitch, you will learn to build a component that holds patterns from the kilims made in brick stitch. The workshop will also cover how to use these beads in various jewelry designs (pendant, earrings) and how to build off of them and make variegated sizes. Instructions also include directions for St. Petersburg Chain and how to make a bail for a pendant.
